Conceptual and abstract contemporary art inspired by dance and Southern Gothic themes by Georgia artist Gregory W. Blount. Greg is a practicing environmental attorney and artist with over twenty-five years of creative work in oil, watercolor, encaustic, and mixed media. He has completed MFA course work at SCAD, along with other artistic instruction. He is also part of the artistic community at Serenbe.

Please click through the following pages and evolving store to see work that spans twenty-five years of painting as a pastime. Happy are the painters for they shall not be lonely. Light and colour, peace and hope, will keep them company to the end, or almost to the end, of the day. W.S. Churchill

These pieces have been sold to friends, collectors, and supporters at charitable auctions all over the world, including Antarctica. My newest artistic vision is to add pieces featuring “the unsheltered” in the land of hospitality, as an extension of Southern Gothic themes. My plan is to use these pieces to raise awareness and charitable donations for St. Therese House, Inc., a 501(c)(3), whose mission is to serve the unsheltered and mentally ill among us. I have served as CEO of St. Therese House for thirty years from its halfway house in Reynoldstown to its current grant support of other missions like the Boyce Ansley School, serving indigent and unsheltered school age children. Pieces qualifying as a direct charitable donation to St. Therese House will be noted in the online store.

Thanks very much, Greg
